Can-Do Camp is a 90-day journey designed to help you confidently launch your business idea or grow your business into the next stage. This milestone-driven program guides you through the startup and growth process, breaking it into achievable steps while celebrating progress along the way.

During Can-Do Camp, you'll build a supportive network with fellow entrepreneurs, connect with local professionals, and access real resources like pricing tools, food safety guidance (for food producers), branding best practices, and first-hand knowledge from our Can-Do entrepreneurs who understand what it takes to build a business. By the end of Can-Do Camp, you'll have the knowledge, tools, and community connections to confidently launch (or relaunch) your business on a strong foundation.

For food businesses, this option includes 4 additional food-focused sessions, our Kitchen Launch program (a $200 value), and a ServSafe® proctored exam.

Runs: Sept. 14th - Nov. 30th

Regular Daytime Sessions: Every Monday (except the week of 10/12) 12:00 - 1:30pm

Regular Evening Sessions: Every Monday (except the week of 10/12) 5:30 – 7:00pm

Additional Food Sessions: Additional Thursday sessions for food businesses only on 10/1, 10/15, 10/29, & 11/12)

*Basic computer skills are necessary for this course (email,  navigating internet sites, accessing & bookmarking links, downloading & saving attachments, etc.) If you need support with this, please consider attending Tech Days with the Kalamazoo Public Library before the first day of Can-Do Camp.

Can-Do Kalamazoo now offers the ServSafe® Manager Exam each month at our downtown location with limited seating (12 spots maximum). This is a great opportunity for food service professionals looking to get certified, stay compliant, and continue with confidence.

Your registration includes the proctored ServSafe® Manager Exam and the official ServSafe® Exam Answer Sheet, currently valued at $125, for just $50.

Study Materials: We recommend preparing with the ServSafe Manager Book, 9th Edition, especially if this is your first time taking the exam. First-time test takers should plan for at least two weeks of self-study. Recertification candidates may need less preparation, but review is still encouraged.

This three-year program offers a supportive and low-risk environment to develop your commercial food business. Guided by experienced entrepreneurs, you'll achieve key milestones and discover how you can prepare for a market-ready commercial space or continue renting our kitchen, all within a collaborative and inclusive setting.

Can-Do Camp

Can-Do Camp is a 90-day program that gives you the tools, knowledge, and connections to launch a new business or scale your existing one. You’ll learn best practices, build a peer network, connect with local pros, and celebrate milestones along the way. By the end, you’ll have a solid foundation for success!

First Path

First Path is a four-week workshop series to help aspiring entrepreneurs explore, develop, and strengthen a business idea before taking the next step. Guided by experienced facilitators and supported by fellow participants, you'll gain tools, feedback, and the confidence to move your idea forward.

Can-Do Label Bundles

An affordable solution for entrepreneurs who need a compliant, professional product label to launch a new product or service. *Eligibility: Operate your business for one year or less and have participated in a Can-Do Kalamazoo program within the past year.

Can-Do Boost

Boost offers five one-hour sessions with our team to dive into key areas like branding, marketing, LLCs, websites, social media, sales venues, financials, and funding. It's personalized guidance to help you tackle your business challenges and take the next step.

ServSafe®

Our ServSafe® classes and proctored exams are designed to help food entrepreneurs meet industry standards with confidence. These classes cover essential food safety practices, and our proctored exams can lead to the certification required to operate in licensed kitchens.
